TweetUplift ReCap
It rained, it poured, it blew. Venice Beach hasn’t seen such an ugly day in years. But that didn’t stop the very first ever TweetUplift from happening on Christmas Day. Thanks to a donation of emergency raincoats from Mark @invisiblepeople, a contribution of food from Joyce @vaguelyartistic, food, family and passionate participation by Alexis @AlexisNeely and Jackie @JackiePeters, enthusiasm from Ron @ronproulx and big-hearted energy from Courtney, Ronnie, Amy & 9-year-old Kaia, we were able to bring a little warmth and cheer to a few people taking shelter near the beach. Watch the vid below!
We want to thank everyone who ReTweeted this event to their friends: @lizstrauss, @perrybelcher, @scobleizer, @heathermilligan, @HarpArora, @Andrewjustin, @cfl_homeless, @nakisnakis, @linnetwoods, @Peppersantblai, @lovemorenow, @mrken777, @amoyal, @mandamin, @bcross and @LAist

Congrats on the 1st Tweetuplift, very inspiring!
Just came across this quote – so apopros: “I have inherited a belief in community, the promise that a gathering of the spirit can both create and change culture. In the desert, change is nurtured even in stone by wind, by water, through time.” —Terry Tempest Williams

I love this kind of holiday cheer! This is what this time of year is all about.
This would make an awesome “Goodest Story”, by the way, Moira. If you’re interested in sharing your TweetUpLift event with more people AND get a chance to win a flight for 2 to Cancun, submit your video to the DailyChallenge.org’s “The Goodest Story Ever Contest: http://www.dailychallenge.org/contests/the-goodest-story-ever/?ref=dailychallenge.
Keep up your good work!
