We’re California dreamin’ so we’re off to Venice Beach at the end of March for a Feel Good Guru Venice Vegan Adventure! Learn to make delicious and healthy market-fresh food in an ideal setting steps from the ocean on this one-of-a-kind insider retreat led by vegan chef and former Venice resident, Moira Nordholt.
We’re renting a large beach house with a gourmet kitchen where we’ll get down to some plant-powered kitchen chemistry California-style, whipping up some of Feel Good Guru’s favorite recipes after hitting the abundant farmers’ markets, all the while soaking in the Venice arts and culture scene, biking and rollerblading the boardwalk, doing yoga with the stars, chocolate-tasting, side-tripping to our favorite L.A. vegan hotspots, dining al fresco, lapping up rooftop sunsets and garden partying with happy Venice freaks.

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE:
Tuesday, March 20 – Arrival and gourmet vegan dinner in the garden, prepared by Moira and Chiyoko.
Wednesday, March 21 – Morning smoothies followed by a bike ride on the world famous Venice boardwalk to the Santa Monica Farmers’ Market, where we’ll pick up our bounty. Afternoon cooking class – Feel Good Guru’s Faves. Late afternoon/early evening chocolate making workshop with Patricia, indie sustainable chocolate artisan and owner of ChocoVivo.
Thursday, March 22 – Morning smoothies followed by a yoga class at popular Venice studio to the stars, Exhale. Afternoon macrobiotic cooking workshop with Venice macrobiotic chef, Chiyoko Tanaka. Evening fun dream interpretation workshop with renowned dream expert and author, Kelly Sullivan Walden.
Friday, March 23 – Morning smoothies and a walk to the Friday morning Venice Market. Morning cooking class with Moira. Afternoon raw foods workshop with award-winning raw foods author and eco-lifestylist, Ani Phyo, followed by evening cocktails on trendy Abbot Kinney Boulevard.
Saturday, March 24 – Morning smoothies followed by day in the kitchen with Moira, preparing a vegan feast for the 5th Annual Animal Lovers brunch.
Sunday, March 25 – Noon til 3pm – 5th Annual Animal Lovers Brunch. Party! Afternoon, evening, relax.
Monday, March 26 – Depart
TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS:
We’ll leave getting to and from L.A. up to you. Venice Beach is a 10-minute drive from LAX and approximately $22 by taxi.
ACCOMMODATION:
We’re renting a luxurious 2250 sq. ft beach house steps from the Venice Boardwalk with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, skylights, outdoor dining area, fireplace and a spacious gourmet kitchen.
PRICE:
Private room with queen bed: $1850/6 nights (3 available) (2 available)
Shared room with day bed: $950/6 nights (3 available) (2 available)
Includes accommodation plus all food, all cooking classes/workshops, 1 yoga class, bicycle rentals, and the 5th Annual Animal Lovers Brunch.
There is also the option of finding your own accommodation and joining us in the kitchen daily. For cooking classes/workshops only: $450 for the week.
A deposit of $500 or $200 for cooking workshops only is required to secure your spot, refundable 60 days prior to the retreat. Prices do not include transportation to and from L.A., airport transfers and individual diversions on free time. We suggest you make your travel arrangements early to get the best prices.
