Feel Good Fast…Take 3!

Who wants to lose weight?

If you’re like most people, you’ve gained 5 pounds over the holidays, and now that all that indulgence is over, you wish they’d magically melt away.

You probably wish you could clean out your body, get rid of toxins, fat cells and bad karma and start the new year fresh in a younger, slimmer, happier version of yourself.

If you’re like most people, you’ve probably tried some kind of a “diet” at some point, perhaps even a drugstore “de-tox” program in the hopes of fitting back into your grade 8 jeans.

And if you’re like most people, you’ve probably struggled, had momentary successes, and ultimately failed.
Not only are “diets” not good for you, they don’t work because they are unsustainable in the real world.
According to statistics, 90-95% of people who lose weight by dieting gain most of the weight back within 3-5 years. Sometimes even more fat cells are acquired in the process due to yo-yo dieting.

The human body is not designed to live on meal replacement powders or pills. And who has the time or the inclination to count calories or calculate “points” for every single food item swallowed?

You wish there were a magic pill for instant health and happiness, but experience has taught you that there is no quick fix that’s sustainable beyond a few hours or a few days.

Fortunately, there is a prescription that works instantly for most people. It’s a magic pill that’s simple to take several times throughout day. The side effects include sudden urges to take responsibility for your own health and happiness. I call the magic pill ChoiceRx.

Starting tomorrow, we’re choosing to clean out our bodies by eating market fresh, local vegan foods made from scratch – for 21 days. Join in! We’ll be blogging and sharing menus, shopping lists and recipes, even a few videos this time around with updates and how-to’s.

We’ll get to all the no-no’s tomorrow. For now, if you’re choosing to join in, spend the next day or two lovin’ yourself up. You can follow along a few days behind so you’ll have all the instructions, ingredient lists and the first couple days of recipes.

This won’t be painful. Au contraire. It’ll be joyful. And you’ll feel so good by the end of January, those February blues that usually come to punch you out won’t have a chance!

Incidentally, this Orange-Cardamom Vegan Cheesecake won’t be on the program…but remind me to leave the recipe here in time for Valentine’s Day!

Can’t wait — I felt good just reading each day’s entry last time! This time I’m gonna do it!

  2. OK, as a total cheese addict, I’m gonna have a hard time doing this, but I do commit to try (think that’s too wishy-washy?? oh little do you know! :-) ) And only if you *promise* you will put the recipe for that yummy looking thing – that’s a cheesecake? wow! – online at some point. :-)
